Terms & Conditions

Clear terms, fair play, no surprises

Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from Dragontail Games Ltd through our website at www.dragontailgames.co.uk.

Please read these Terms & Conditions before placing an order. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions are primarily intended for consumers, but we also accept orders from businesses. Where you are buying as a business, certain consumer-specific provisions, including statutory consumer cancellation rights, will not apply.

1. About us
We are DRAGONTAIL GAMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17432449.
Our registered office is:

71-75 Shelton Street
Covent Garden
London
United Kingdom
WC2H 9JQ

Our website is www.dragontailgames.co.uk.

2. Products
We manufacture and sell tabletop gaming measurement devices and related products.
Our products are designed for their stated intended purpose as described on the relevant product page. They are not toys and are not intended for use as toys.
Unless otherwise stated, our products are intended for users aged 14 and over.
Some products may contain small parts which may present a choking hazard. Products should be kept out of the reach of young children and should not be given to children under 3.
You are responsible for ensuring that a product is suitable for the way you intend to use it and for following any instructions or warnings provided with the product.
We may make reasonable changes to our products over time, including changes to materials, manufacturing methods, dimensions, appearance or other features, provided that the product supplied remains consistent with the description given to you at the time you placed your order.

3. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and other information on our website are accurate.
However, colours shown on a screen may differ slightly from the physical product, particularly because of differences between displays and their settings.
As our products are manufactured individually, minor variations in appearance or finish may occur between products.
Such variations do not affect your statutory rights.

4. Prices
The price payable for a product is the price displayed on our website at the time you place your order, together with any applicable delivery charges or other charges clearly shown before you complete your purchase.
We are currently not registered for VAT. Our prices therefore do not include a separate VAT charge.
We may change our prices at any time before you place an order.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices displayed on our website are correct. However, if an obvious pricing error occurs, for example where a product is displayed at an obviously incorrect price due to a technical or human error, we may contact you before fulfilling the order.
If we are unable to fulfil an order at the incorrectly displayed price, we may cancel the order and provide a full refund of any amount you have paid for it.

5. Promotions and discounts
From time to time, we may offer promotional prices, discount codes, free-delivery promotions or other offers.
Unless otherwise stated:

  • promotional offers are available only for the period stated;

  • promotional offers cannot be combined with other offers;

  • discount codes must be entered correctly at checkout;

  • we may set reasonable limits on the number of products that can be purchased as part of a promotion; and

  • a promotion does not affect your statutory rights.

Where a promotion has specific terms or conditions, those terms will be displayed alongside the promotion and will form part of the agreement between us.

6. Placing an order
 When placing an order, you must provide accurate and complete information. Before completing your order, you will have an opportunity to review the items in your basket and correct any errors.
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products from us. By placing an order, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
We will acknowledge your order by email. Your order will become a contract between you and us when we send you an order confirmation confirming that we have accepted your order.
We may decline an order before accepting it, for example where a product is unavailable or where we identify a genuine problem with the order. If we do not accept an order, we will refund any payment already taken for that order.
Your order confirmation will contain details of the products ordered, the price paid and other relevant order information. You should retain this information for your records.

7. Payment
Payment is taken when you place your order unless otherwise stated.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. These may include credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment providers. We do not have access to your complete payment card details where those details are processed directly by the payment provider.
If a payment is unsuccessful, we may be unable to accept or fulfil your order.

8. Pre-orders
Some products may be offered for pre-order.
Where you place a pre-order, payment is taken in full when the pre-order is placed.
Pre-orders will not normally be dispatched immediately. Instead, pre-orders placed during the relevant promotional period will be manufactured and dispatched together after the promotional period has closed.
The estimated dispatch date or manufacturing timescale will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page before you place the order.
The actual manufacturing time may depend on the product and the total number of units included in the pre-order.
To ensure that we can manufacture and dispatch orders within the estimated timescale given, we may limit the number of pre-orders available during a promotional period.
Estimated dispatch dates are estimates rather than guarantees. Manufacturing or dispatch may occasionally take longer than expected.
If it becomes apparent that we will be unable to meet a stated delivery timescale, we will contact affected customers and, where required by law, provide the appropriate options including a refund.

9. Made-to-order and manufactured products
Our products may be manufactured specifically in response to orders received.
Manufacturing a product to order does not, by itself, remove any statutory consumer cancellation rights that apply to an online purchase.
Where a product has instead been made to your specifications or has been clearly personalised to you, different cancellation rules may apply. Any such restriction will be explained before you place the order.

10. Product availability and discontinuation
We aim to keep products available as advertised, but we cannot guarantee that every product will remain available indefinitely.
We may discontinue a product, colour, material or other variant.
If we have accepted an order but subsequently become unable to manufacture the ordered product because, for example:

  • necessary raw materials have been permanently discontinued or become unavailable;

  • essential manufacturing equipment cannot reasonably be repaired or replaced;

  • the product has been discontinued; or

  • another circumstance makes manufacture of the product genuinely impossible,

we may cancel the affected order.
Where we cancel an order for one of these reasons, we will provide a full refund of amounts paid for the affected order.

11. Delivery
Our delivery arrangements, delivery charges and estimated delivery times are set out in our Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
We currently deliver within the UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA & Canada only.
Our default delivery service is Royal Mail 2nd Class unless another delivery option is selected at checkout.
Delivery times given by Royal Mail are delivery aims rather than guarantees.
If your order is delayed, please contact us and we will investigate the position where appropriate.
For pre-orders, the arrangements in section 8 apply in addition to the information in our Delivery Policy.

12. Incorrect delivery information
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and other information required to fulfil your order.
If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, or because a delivery was refused or not collected, we may contact you to arrange redelivery.
Where the additional delivery cost has been caused by information or action on your part, you may be responsible for the direct additional costs reasonably incurred in attempting to deliver the order again.
This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

13. Risk during delivery
 For consumer purchases, the goods remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person you have identified to receive them.
This means that if goods are lost or damaged while being delivered by a carrier arranged by us, we remain responsible for the goods in accordance with your statutory rights. We will deal with any such issue with you and, where appropriate, seek compensation from the carrier ourselves.
If you independently arrange for a carrier to collect or deliver the goods and that carrier was not offered by us as an option, the risk may pass to you when the goods are handed to that carrier, in accordance with applicable law.
For business purchases, unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a carrier arranged by you.
Nothing in this section limits any liability or rights that apply to the carrier itself.

14. Consumer cancellation rights
 If you are a consumer and purchase goods from us online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and sets out the circumstances in which this right applies, the applicable cancellation periods and the process for exercising your cancellation rights.
Your statutory cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised to you, or where another statutory exception applies.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our Returns Policy affects any statutory cancellation rights you may have.

15. Handling goods after delivery
Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and sets out the requirements concerning the handling and condition of goods returned under a statutory cancellation right, including when a deduction may be made from a refund due to diminished value.

16. Returning goods after cancellation
Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and sets out the requirements and process for returning goods following cancellation, including the applicable return period and responsibility for return costs.

17. Refunds following cancellation
Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and sets out the arrangements for refunds following cancellation, including the amount and timing of any refund, delivery charges, deductions for diminished value and the method used to issue the refund.

18. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods
 Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions and sets out the process for reporting and returning faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods, including the remedies available to you and any circumstances in which an issue may not be considered a fault with the goods.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our Returns Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have.

19. Business customers
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to enter into the contract on behalf of that business.
Consumer-specific rights and provisions in these Terms & Conditions do not apply to business purchases where they are not applicable by law.
In particular, business customers do not have the statutory consumer cancellation rights described in sections 14–17.
Business customers should inspect goods promptly after delivery and notify us of any apparent issue as soon as reasonably practicable.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

20. Use of our products
Our products are intended to be used for their stated purpose.
You are responsible for using the product appropriately and safely, including taking account of the product's dimensions, materials, construction and any instructions or warnings supplied with it.
You should not:

  • use a product for a purpose for which it was not designed;

  • deliberately damage or modify a product;

  • attempt to reverse-engineer or reproduce a product;

  • use a product in a manner which could reasonably cause injury or damage; or

  • give a product to a person for whom it is not intended where doing so would be unsafe.

We are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from your misuse of a product, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or where the loss or damage is caused by our breach of contract, negligence or another circumstance for which we remain legally responsible.

21. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in our website, branding, logos, product designs, photographs, graphics, text, documentation and other content supplied by us are owned by us or used by us under appropriate rights or licences.
You must not, without our prior written permission:

  • copy or reproduce our products or product designs;

  • reverse-engineer, deconstruct or reproduce our products for the purpose of making copies;

  • manufacture or arrange for the manufacture of products based on our designs;

  • commercially exploit our designs or other intellectual property;

  • reproduce our photographs, graphics, text or other website content for commercial purposes; or

  • use our branding or logos in a way which suggests an association with or endorsement by us.

Buying a product from us does not give you ownership of the intellectual property used to design or manufacture it.
These restrictions do not prevent you from using a product normally for its intended purpose.

22. Customer accounts
If you create or use a customer account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe that your account has been accessed without your permission.
Website account functionality and authentication may be provided by Wix or another third-party service provider.
We will not ask you to disclose your account password to us.
We may suspend or restrict access to an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or other legitimate reasons.

23. Product reviews
Customers may be invited to submit reviews of products purchased from us.
Reviews should be honest and based on your genuine experience of the product.
You must not submit reviews which are:

  • false or misleading;

  • abusive, threatening or defamatory;

  • unlawful;

  • intended to impersonate another person; or

  • submitted in exchange for a payment or other benefit unless this is clearly disclosed where required by law.

We may remove or refuse to publish reviews which breach these requirements or applicable law.
We do not alter genuine reviews simply because they contain criticism of our products.

24. Website availability
We aim to keep our website available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.
We may temporarily suspend, modify or restrict parts of the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, updates or other operational reasons.
This does not affect contracts for products that we have already accepted.

25. Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where this is caused by circumstances genuinely beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, for example:

  • natural disasters;

  • fire or flooding;

  • serious disruption to utilities or communications;

  • industrial action;

  • significant transport disruption;

  • widespread computer or network failures;

  • government action or legal restrictions;

  • serious disruption affecting our suppliers; or

  • other events which could not reasonably have been prevented or overcome.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of such circumstances and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
If an event outside our reasonable control makes it impossible to fulfil an accepted order, we may cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid for it.

26. Our liability
 Consumers
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are reasonably foreseeable and that arise directly from our breach of these Terms & Conditions or from our negligence.
We are not responsible for:

  • loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into;

  • loss or damage that was not caused by our breach of contract or negligence;

  • loss or damage resulting from your misuse, improper use or unauthorised modification of a product, or from using a product for a purpose for which it was not designed;

  • loss or damage resulting from your failure to follow instructions, warnings or other information provided with the product;

  • loss or damage resulting from your failure to provide accurate information, including delivery information, where this causes or contributes to the loss or damage;

  • loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where we remain legally responsible for that loss; or

  • loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited. In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective or misdescribed goods, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Business customers
If you purchase from us in the course of a business, we will only be responsible for losses that arise directly from our breach of these Terms & Conditions or our negligence and that were reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for:

  • loss of profit, revenue or business;

  • loss of business opportunity or anticipated savings;

  • loss of goodwill or reputation;

  • indirect or consequential loss;

  • loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into;

  • loss or damage resulting from your misuse, improper use or unauthorised modification of a product, or from using a product for a purpose for which it was not designed;

  • loss or damage resulting from your failure to follow instructions, warnings or other information provided with the product;

  • loss or damage resulting from your failure to provide accurate information, including delivery information;

  • loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control; or

  • loss or damage arising from third-party services or providers, except where we are legally responsible for that loss.

Subject to the above, our total liability to a business customer arising out of or in connection with an order will not exceed the total amount paid or payable by that customer for the goods giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights that apply to you.

27. Privacy and cookies
Our handling of personal information and our use of cookies and similar technologies are explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
This policy is separate from these Terms & Conditions.

28. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our business, products or legal requirements.
The version of these Terms & Conditions applicable to an order is the version in force when you place that order, unless a change is required by law to apply to an existing contract.
We will not use a later change to these Terms & Conditions to retrospectively alter the terms of a contract which we have already accepted.

29. Complaints
If you have a problem with an order or our service, please contact us through our FAQ & Contact page.
Please provide your order number and explain the issue as clearly as possible. Where relevant, photographs or other information may help us resolve the matter more quickly.
We will aim to respond within 2 working days.
We would always prefer to resolve complaints directly with you where possible.

30. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions and any contract between us are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will also have the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents you from exercising any legal rights available to you.

31. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

32. Entire agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with the information provided on the relevant product page, the applicable Delivery Policy, Returns Policy and any specific terms clearly provided to you before placing your order, form the basis of the contract between you and us.
Where there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and a specific term agreed with you for a particular order, the specific agreed term will take precedence to the extent of the conflict.

33. Statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict, exclude or replace any statutory rights which you have under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions gives you less protection than you are entitled to by law, the applicable legal rights will prevail.
